I recently stayed at Lagunavista Villas and had an amazing experience. The location is truly unique, with stunning views of the lagoon and the sounds of the ocean creating a relaxing atmosphere. The lodge is conveniently located near the Carate air strip, making it easy to access guided tours to Corcovado NP. The gravel road from Puerto Jimenez was much better than expected, taking only about an hour to drive. Despite limited service expectations, the staff, including two volunteer girls, provided excellent attention. The large swimming pool is set in a beautiful setting, perfect for nature lovers.
Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like. 😊

We had an amazing stay at Lagunavista Villas! The family-run business made us feel at home, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The delicious meals were well-prepared, and the panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean was breathtaking. We even got to see whales migrating! Surrounded by wildlife, the pool offered privacy and stunning ocean views. We will definitely be back!
Totally recommend this hotel!

Great location and views, close to airport and natural surroundings. Private small pool and open bathroom were highlights.
Overpriced accommodation that is poorly maintained, with limited options and quality of food. Some rooms had issues with insects and lacked proper bed nets.

Being surrounded by nature was the highlight of my stay. I loved waking up to monkey and bird sounds, and the stunning views of the jungle were impressive. The hotel's facilities were fantastic, including a gorgeous pool area. The staff was always friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. While the location is remote, it's perfect for those who want to escape the city and enjoy a natural retreat. Cleanliness was also top-notch.
Nothings.

Absolutely Stunning Location and Delicious Food
The resort is located in an incredible spot with a view that will simply take your breath away. Despite the rugged road to get there, the location is worth it. The food was delicious, with a chef who is a master of his craft and adds a creative touch to everything he makes. The staff was very friendly, making the experience even better.
Be prepared for long hikes and limited activities, especially if you are not a fan of hiking. While this could be a turn-off for some, the beautiful surroundings and luscious greenery that surrounds you makes up for this.

Nestled in the heart of the jungle, this hotel offers a unique experience close to nature. Wake up to the sound of howler monkeys and enjoy breathtaking views of the rainforest from the villas. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious. Rooms are comfortable, with spacious bathrooms and mosquito nets for a sound sleep. A highlight is the unforgettable wildlife sightings on the property.
The price is on the higher side compared to other hotels in the area.
